On 1 October 2016 the Preston, Chorley and South Ribble and East Lancashire diabetic eye screening programmes (DESP) merged to create the Lancashire Diabetic Eye Screening Programme.

On 1 April 2017, the areas of North Lancashire, Blackpool and Fylde & Wyre are merging into the Lancashire Diabetic Eye Screening Programme (DESP). What happens in your annual screening appointment will not change. Screening locations have been carefully selected to ensure the service is easy to access and that you will have plenty of choice.
